Taking your child to work with you is not the easiest activity imaginable for most people, myself included, but there are many lessons to be learned when you take a minute and look at the world through the eyes of a child. I am fortunate that my son shares my interest in photography, enjoys going for walks on trails with me, and is an easygoing companion (most of the time 🙂 ). I also enjoy the opportunity to see the world from his point of view. Surprise and delight are my reward when he points things out to me that I had just passed over. So not everyday does my son accompany me but when he does I am grateful to share my time with him.

A bright summer morning provided an excellent opportunity to capture some beauty in the great outdoors. The Methow Valley is a popular recreation destination in Washington State and many people travel here each year to enjoy the wide variety of activities available. Everything from hiking, mountain biking, swimming, camping and many other wonderful options await the intrepid adventure enthusiast.

Depending on the time of year and the overall weather conditions, it is a treat to discover and explore the wonders of nature. Catch a sunny morning and rejoice in the splendor of the natural world at it’s finest. Bring your camera and record it for future reminiscences. Venture out with your child and experience the wonder of our surroundings with a loving companion.
