Raspberry Reflections
The raspberry bush in my garden is an heirloom variety that I was given by my Mother and it came from her garden. I can only imagine how many generations removed are these berries from the first berry in that initial harvest. How much sweeter is the taste and how much plumper the fruit after many years of tender loving care and warm sunshine. Practice makes perfect I have always heard and it believe it now more than ever. Nothing is done really well until it has been done many times. Beginners luck is a fleeting glimpse of the reward you will encounter if you continue to hone a skill.
My garden is a living canvas of fruits, vegetables and flowers. My family is a living extension of all those who have come before me and all that will follow in my footsteps. I have a special connection with all of the inhabitants of my home and garden. Each of these individuals are cared for and lovingly inserted into the timeline of my life. I learn from them and try to guide them as I am able. The connection between the life you nurture and the life you grow is a special one indeed and I encourage all of my family to take turns tending the garden with me as I did with my mom.

Thank you very much. They were warm with the summer sun and practically burst with flavor when you put them in your mouth. A very tasteful treat indeed. Have a great day.
