Pretty Peachy Rose Abstract Flower
Roses are such incredible beauties. There are so many colors and varieties of this mysterious flower. They are all so different and yet the same. When I was in college at Western Washington University I would walk by a rose garden on my way to class. Every day I would remind myself to stop and smell the roses 🙂 I thought that if I was fortunate enough to walk by this fragrant spot every day then I should be wise enough to enjoy it. I learned that each color has it’s own scent. No two roses ever smelled the same to me. I was fascinated by the range of flavors I encountered and it always brought a smile to my face. I realized that that my day and my memory were enhanced as I was able to partake of the lovely treat that I encountered and I will never forget it.
I love to paint flowers and especially roses. The soft color variations and curving shapes are welcoming to me. My fascination lies in trying to recreate the vivid wonder I feel when I look at them. I attempt to try and capture this vibrant visual treat in order to enjoy it again and again over the years. I hope to eventually paint each and every color I encounter. Stay tuned as this might take a while 🙂
