Flowing River Water and Rocks Colorful Abstract Painting

Flowing River Water and Rocks Colorful Abstract Painting

Water is a favorite element of mine. I was born in July and I am a water sign.
“Cancer, the fourth sign of the zodiac, is a water sign, which signifies your highly emotional nature. Being under the sway of the element of water also makes you highly caring, generous and intuitive. You are highly evolved, even spiritual — the water signs are karmically developed and refined in spirit.

Water is malleable and adaptable. You are very much like that. You adapt when you have to, but you much prefer to make changes on your own terms.
Like water, you are soothing and nourishing too. Life-supporting energies are at the heart of your character. You will act as a support for many people — in your own family and beyond.” http://www.astrology.com.au/astrology/12-signs-of-the-zodiac/cancer.html

I have always loved water and spend as much time in it as I can. I live in the Pacific Northwest next to the Methow River. This river is clean and cold, and it consists of melted snow and ice that flows from the North Cascade mountain range. I can stare into its depths and find so many colors and shapes that interest me. This image was inspired by the flowing water over the rocks. Rocks have so many colors and patterns in them and the water rushing over them intensifies this affect. Enjoy the rich colors and soft movement. If you look long enough you might just see the shifting compositions that I tried to capture in this abstract painting 🙂
