Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart. ~Rumi

Hearts Abstract Macro Glass Photograph by Omaste Witkowski owFotoGrafik.comHearts

This photograph reminds me of a heart. The spidery lines remind me of veins. Also I am in love with the photograph. The glowing red center and overall mini mystery of a creative process. This image started me on my artistic journey that has brought me here. It was the first picture I ever sold anyone. I was exploring the idea of using my glass ornaments as models for Macro photographs. A friend of mine saw some of my pictures and told her friend, who owned a hotel, about them. I was promptly asked to produce art for the Suites in the hotel and a passion was born. I was so excited to share all of the color and beauty I was finding and get paid at the same time. What a thrill! So I created a series of around 25 unique photographs and put some of them in a gallery, some in a bakery, some in the Twisp River Suites Hotel and this one was sold to the Glass Artist who created the original ornaments I used as Models πŸ™‚

A new love was born. A fusion of my love of glass art and my love of photography. Here was this whole new Macro world hiding in plain sight. All these beautiful sparkling works of art waiting to be explored. Stay tuned for many more Macro photos over the coming days. Visit the Macro world of Glass Art with me as your tour guide πŸ™‚

Also stay tuned for some EXCITING new work to be unveiled in January 2015. Totally NEW and very SPECIAL !! I can’t wait to share it with all of you….
