Hearts Abstract Macro Glass Photograph by Omaste Witkowski owFotoGrafik.com

Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts. ~Albert Einstein

June 2, 2016 by owfotografik

I found this picture a minute ago and thought it would be a fun Throwback Thursday post. This image is the FIRST Fine Art picture I ever sold to anyone. It was part of a series I created for the Twisp River Suites to hang in their Guest Suites when the hotel was brand new back in 2012. I had been taking photographs of Garth Mudge’s handblown glass art over the Thanksgiving holiday break in my home studio and I […]

Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark. ~Rabindranath Tagore

I see a fish hooked on light. Swimming through an abstract sea. Finding a certain feeling and stopping to enjoy the bliss. My small oceanic friend is curious and alive. Waiting to see the next adventure and loving every minute. ————- These photographs are all abstract. I am taking pictures of colors and shapes. What anyone sees is open to the imagination. There is no right or wrong interpretation. I hope that you enjoy whatever it is that you do […]

Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself. ~Desiderius Erasmus

Branches of Light I see a branch of light extending to all of the darkness in the world. Bright enough to gain the attention of all the souls in the world. A brilliant and welcoming invitation to another way of thinking and a chance to rest for a minute and enjoy the colors…… This picture was part of a commissioned series created for a local Hotel. —– This picture started out as a picture of handblown glass created by Garth […]

Colored Arrows A colorful flight of fancy into an abstract realm is what this picture reminds me of. When I first took the photograph I saw arrows for some reason. Two years later I am looking at it and not seeing arrows anymore? What do you see here in this abstract photograph? —- This picture started out as a picture of handblown glass created by Garth Mudge of Glassworks. Glassworks is located downtown Winthrop Wa (Washington State), in the beautiful […]

I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures. ~Lao Tzu

Ballerina This photograph reminds me of a ballet slipper. A magical ballet slipper sparkling with fairy dust. Surrounded by beautiful color and magical tones of sound and light. Dancing for the spirit of creativity in all of us. Simplicity and beauty are things that we love. It is nice when all that we want can be captured in a photograph. Red is a very powerful color. It could be war, love, fear, evil, peace, sensuality, whatever we interpret it to […]

Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness. ~Oprah Winfrey

Egyptian Queen Luxurious colors abound in this photograph of glass. For some reason it reminds me of a beautiful egyptian queen. Maybe Cleopatra maybe someone else. Confidence gold and jewels all indicate an ancient beauty. This picture started out as a picture of handblown glass created by Garth Mudge of Glassworks in Winthrop Wa. Glassworks is located downtown in the beautiful Methow Valley in Okanogan County. It was taken with a Macro lens and is a very small section of […]

Blue Fish I see a blue fish here. Swimming peacefully through its abstract Glass ocean. The water flows smoothly around as this creature makes its way to the next reality it is looking for. In this dimension the shades of light create the environment and my little friend is happy indeed 🙂 This painting started out as a picture of handblown glass created by Garth Mudge of Glassworks in Winthrop Wa. I think that passion and love and pain are all bearable, and they go to make love beautiful. ~Robert Plant

October 6, 2013 by owfotografik

Snakeskin Goddess There is an intensely creative part of me that sees emotions in color and when I look at this photograph I see so many shades of love and life. Macro photographs of glass are so much fun. I was enthralled for many months using a variety of lights and lenses to capture as much color as I could from many art objects. Glass vases and ornaments and cups and plates and many many more. I spent hours and […]

The more sand has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it. ~Niccolo Machiavelli

August 29, 2013 by owfotografik

I am fascinated by this quote and this photograph. I love the soft orange and brown in contrast with the dark bue and green. I think of sand and the night sky. Do you see an hourglass filled with sand or does another vision come to mind when you look at this Macro photograph of a glass ornament? I am fascinated with colored glass and handblown glass artwork. See more of my Macro Glass Photographs
