Self Awareness in Life Motivational Artwork by Omashte

Self-Awareness: An alternative way of looking at your life. ~Omashte

January 20, 2016 by owfotografik

My word for today is Self-Awareness. I am defining it in this piece of motivational artwork as “An alternative way of looking at your life.” I have found that the best views I can acquire are not the most obvious ones. When I change my perception of circumstances then my life looks very different to me. I am then able to think in alternative ways instead of getting stuck in the same place. I am having fun designing my 2016 […]

Flying Free Abstract Butterfly Art by Omaste Witkowski owFotografik.com

For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others. ~Nelson Mandela

July 23, 2015 by owfotografik

Flying Free Abstract Butterfly Art Imagine what it feels like to be totally free of anything holding you back. The limitless joy of being. Not any one thing, just being. How many times in your life have you experienced this state of exceptional bliss? Has it been once or twice or anytime at all? I am attempting to express my freedom here in this picture. It took me 42 years to understand what it felt like to be free. Truly […]

April 5, 2015 by owfotografik

Happy Easter Everyone 🙂 I am hoping that this day finds you in a Positive Space with bright energy and a transforming outlook on the World. I have intended a great deal of enthusiasm and hope into this Art Piece. I pictured the light of the Sun, Home and Heaven. The eternal energy that we are all a loving part of. I see everything in this Egg. All that I love and all that I need. A wide Rainbow of […]

Find Joy In Every Corner Of Life And Be Joyous Today

March 21, 2015 by owfotografik

I have been experimenting with a new style of art today. I am drawing words that I find inspirational and enjoy looking at. Then I am mixing them with my Artwork. The process is similar to the other work that I was doing. I start with a Design I have created and then I layer the word that I have sketched. I remove the letters to show the design underneath. Today’s image is Joy and I hope that it brings […]

Creating Beauty By Removing Uncertainty

March 12, 2015 by owfotografik

Good Morning, Yesterday I shared the design layer for this new piece and today I am sharing my illustration layer. I started with a small snip which was accidentally clipped from another piece I was working on. The small curves intrigued me so I used them to make a larger image. So I made the B&W layer and then started removing bits of white to show the Design layer beneath it. It is fun to create by removing rather than […]

Sometimes An Experience Must Have a Contrast In Order To Be Seen And Understood ~Omaste Witkowski

March 3, 2015 by owfotografik

Today’s layer is #6. I am LOVING this blue color. I used the color picker to choose a blue from my original design. Then I applied various layers of color modification via Photoshop. In total this Layer #6 has 5 sublayers that comprise the Blue. I am almost contemplating the Blue as it’s own picture. It is kind of mesmerizing to me. What do you think?

Ignite The Colors Of Passion In Order To See the Vibrancy Of Life ~Omaste Witkowski

March 2, 2015 by owfotografik

Today’s layer is #5 and consists of two images. One is the color paint layer and the other is how I have used the colored paint layer. It is the same process as I used in Layer 4. I am basically adding different colors/textures to the original picture. Gradually the image takes shape to me. I feel as though I am revealing it rather than creating it. So I feel my way through the colors that I choose and the […]

Sometimes You Have To Look At The Tiny Details In Order To See The Big Picture ~Omaste Witkowski

February 27, 2015 by owfotografik

Today’s layer is #4 and consists of two images. One is the color paint layer and the other is how I have used the colored paint layer. To start, I created a yellow/gold layer based on colors contained within the original design layer. I use the rectangle tool in Photoshop to create a layer. Then I make the layer a specific color using the color picker tool and choosing from my design. This way I keep all of the colors […]

In Order To Reach The Destination You Have to Start The Journey ~Omaste Witkowski

February 26, 2015 by owfotografik

Today’s layer is #3. At this point I have my background design and my black and white illustration. I have the design as the bottom layer, then the b&w picture and now I start removing spaces to show the design underneath. I use the “magic wand” tool in Photoshop to select the areas of white that I want to remove. This leaves the black as a border and whatever is beneath what I have removed will show through. There is […]

The Possibilities That Exists Are Often Hidden And Waiting To Be Explored ~Omaste Witkowski

February 25, 2015 by owfotografik

Good Morning, today I am working on the illustration layer of my picture. I am in Photoshop working with the Paintbrush layer and different brushes and sizes. This part is not the most exciting color wise but it is really fun to do the sketching. Working on a computer with a Wacom Tablet is not the easiest way to draw for me but I don’t have a lot of space for art supplies so it works. I can be on […]
