Electric Thicket, Glowing Blue Stalks

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A dense thicket of long, blade-like stalks fills the frame in saturated blues and greens. Pale silvery stems sweep diagonally through the left and center, while dark shapes sit across the top. Touches of orange-red and rust flicker through the cool colors. The whole surface has a glowing, brushed, feathery texture with fine looping lines.

A collector would want this piece for its electric color and its sense of movement. Cobalt and emerald stalks glow as if lit from inside, and small sparks of orange-red flicker through the cool tangle. Many blue-green abstracts are flat or soft. This one has pale, etched-looking stems sweeping diagonally across a dark, weighty top edge, so it reads as a real thicket and also as a field of luminous line and color. Wanting it purely for the color and energy is reason enough.
