Electric Delta, Blue Channel Through Brown-Rimmed Ovals

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A close-up abstract of rounded, oval shapes with brown, ridged rims, set against a bright blue channel that branches across the middle. The whole surface is finely pitted, scratched and speckled, which gives it a crusty, crystalline texture. Pale green and yellow glows appear inside some of the shapes, and metallic-looking highlights catch along the edges. The palette of electric blue, slate, rust and deep brown feels cool but richly contrasted.

Someone wants this piece for the electric-blue branching channel, which cuts through brown-rimmed, pitted oval forms like a river delta seen from above or a slide under a microscope. Most blue abstracts are smooth, soft or washed. This one is dense, crusted and glinting, with lime-yellow glows inside the shapes and a saturated cool palette set against rust and deep brown. The pull is visual: a tiny world that looks both microscopic and geological, and it rewards close looking.
