Ember Wings, Symmetrical Orange Butterfly in Lace Filigree

Butterflies, Birds & Wildlife · horizontal

A symmetrical orange and red butterfly spreads its wings across the center of the image. Each wing has glossy, flowing bands of olive green, yellow and deep indigo, with a smooth marbled look. Behind it, a pale blue-grey background is covered in lacy red and olive spirals and linked circles. The butterfly's small brown body, with a green diamond shape, sits on the central axis between the mirrored wings.

Someone wants this butterfly for its glow and its ornament. The wings look like glossy, marbled liquid color in burnt orange, red-orange and olive green, with bright yellow edges, as if light were passing through colored glass. Behind them, a pale lace-like filigree of red and olive scrolls and linked circles frames the wings. Most butterfly art is naturalistic. This one is strictly mirror-symmetrical and decorative, and it is warm and celebratory.
