Last Light Tower, Painterly Sunset Cloud

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A towering cloud with a glowing cream and gold top rises above wide bands of dark purple cloud. Below, a stripe of peach and pink sky sits just above a low hill dotted with small evergreen trees. The upper sky is a deep, slightly hazy blue with a few thin streaks of cloud. A swirling, brushstroke-like texture covers the whole scene, so it looks like a painting.

A collector wants this piece for one strong image: a single cream-gold cloud tower catching the last warm light above heavy violet cloud banks and a salmon-pink horizon. Many sunset skies are just orange gradients. Here the cool, shadowed middle of the sky makes the small warm crown feel like an event. The swirling, paint-like surface turns an ordinary evening scene into something that looks hand-built and tactile. Pure visual attraction is reason enough to want it.
