Ember Cells, Red and Orange Abstract Macro

A close-up abstract of rounded, translucent shapes that fit together like cells or pieces of stained glass. Deep red, orange and yellow fill the right and bottom, while pale grey-green, pink and cream shapes fill the left and top. Thin bright outlines separate the shapes, and a few small bubbles and specks sit on the surface.

A collector wants this piece for the colour and the glow. Saturated red, orange and yellow cells look lit from behind, and cool pale grey-green and pink cells at the left and top hold them in balance. It reads as an abstract first. Up close it turns out to be a world of rounded, glossy shapes with bright rims, a few tiny bubbles and a single round bubble to rest the eye on. Pure visual attraction is reason enough: it is a warm, luminous colour field that does not look like a generic abstract.
