Ember Heart in a Leaf Wreath
Spiritual, Mandala & Symbolic · vertical
A tall dark oval holds two mirrored branches of pointed leaves that curve around a central heart shape. The leaves and heart glow in amber, orange, magenta and olive green, as if lit from behind. Around the oval, a field of swirling orange and red brushwork fills the frame, edged by a thin black border. The overall look is symmetrical, ornamental and warmly lit.
A collector wants this piece for its heart-shaped window of glowing amber, green and violet, framed by a dark leaf wreath and set in a field of swirling orange. Most heart art is soft, pastel or cartoonish. This one is dark, warm and jewel-lit, with an emblem-like formality. The strict mirror symmetry makes it feel ceremonial, and the painterly brushwork keeps it from looking cold. The faint mirrored form at the heart's center (a face, a flame or a vase) rewards a second look.
