Crimson Lantern, Mirrored Abstract in Red and Yellow

A square abstract image made of mirrored, fluid shapes in red, blue, teal, orange and yellow. A bright yellow band runs across the middle, with symmetrical mask-like forms above and below it. Blue vase-like shapes with round discs repeat in the four corners on a deep crimson background.

Someone wants this piece for the way a single bright yellow band glows across a deep crimson field, held in perfect mirror symmetry. It reads at once as bold, warm and ordered. Look longer and the teal and orange forms begin to suggest faces or masks, and blue vase-like shapes with round discs repeat in each corner. Most red abstracts are loose and gestural. This one is built like a kaleidoscope but finished like thick, brushed paint, so it works for a buyer who wants strong colour and a calm, balanced structure together.
