Ember Spiral Rose in Stained Glass Pattern

Botanical & Flowers · square

A stylized rose viewed from above sits on a plain white background, its petals drawn as thick white spiraling lines. Inside each petal is a busy pattern of dark maroon outlines forming tiny cells, loops and miniature rose-like swirls. The colors run from burnt orange and red to golden yellow, with small touches of olive green and slate blue. The surface has a glossy, glass-like glow with a faint embossed texture.

A collector wants this rose for its glowing, stained-glass heat. The white petal lines spiral to the center and pull the eye in, while every petal is packed with tiny maroon-outlined cells, loops and miniature rose-like swirls in burnt orange, red and golden yellow. It is a single, instantly readable rose, but it rewards close looking. It is not a soft botanical study, so it suits someone who likes bold, graphic, decorative flowers.
