Off Duty Quiet - Orange Figure on a Green Lake Dock

Travel / Specialty / Projects · horizontal

A person in a bright orange top sits at the far end of a floating dock, seen from behind and looking out over green lake water. A small pale boat with an outboard motor is tied along the dock's side. In the lower left foreground, a brown wooden sign reads 'NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY'. The water is rippled and reflects soft greens, and the whole image has a smooth, painterly finish with a dark edge border.

A collector would want this piece for the single bright orange figure sitting alone at the end of a dock, surrounded by olive and moss-green water. The brown 'NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY' sign in the foreground adds dry humor to an otherwise still, quiet scene. Most lake and dock pictures show the view or the dock. This one has a person, a sense of solitude and a wry note, and it keeps all three in a limited, harmonious palette.
