Satin Tide, Iridescent Blue and Teal Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A close, abstract view of glossy curved shapes in vivid blue, teal, red and yellow, with swirling rainbow-like bands inside them. The center is a pale, finely brushed surface that looks like satin metal, dotted with small droplets along its left edge. A sweeping diagonal carries the eye from the red corners to the bright blue and green lobe at upper right. The right side melts into soft, blurry bronze tones.

A collector wants this piece for its contrast of two textures: smooth, wet-looking rainbow color against a finely brushed, satin-metal surface. Electric cobalt and turquoise lobes glow against warm copper-brown and hot red, with a diagonal sweep that pulls the eye across the frame. Most colorful abstracts are flat or busy. This one has a glassy, luminous quality and real depth from selective focus, and pure visual attraction is reason enough to want it.
