Ember Seam, Glowing Red and Teal Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · square

A square close-up of glowing, glass-like shapes in red, orange, teal and blue. A rounded form with a bright, rainbow-edged outline sits above a dome of blue and green streaks. A red, speckled seam joins the two near the center. Small bubble-like dots and fine scratch-like lines add texture against the soft, blurred warm background.

Someone wants this piece for its glow. Two opposing translucent shapes meet at a bright red seam, one an hourglass-like form above and one a teal-and-blue dome below. Rainbow-fringed edges and a lit-from-within centre sit inside deep red and burnt orange. Many colourful abstracts are flat or evenly busy. This one has a clear focal point, a warm-to-cool colour contrast and a glassy, molten-looking depth. Its strong colour is reason enough to want it.
