Ember Tide, Swirling Orange and Blue Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A horizontal abstract filled with swirling, glossy ribbons of orange, red and amber that curl above rippling electric blue shapes. Dark navy and near-black areas sit at the edges and between the folds, making the bright colors glow. Fine speckles and thin streaks add detail to the smooth, liquid-looking surface. The overall impression is one of fluid movement and strong warm-cool contrast.

Someone wants this piece for the way glowing orange and red ribbons curl and fold into electric blue against dark navy. It reads as liquid in motion, and the glossy highlights make the colors look lit from within. Many abstracts are colorful or fluid. Few combine a fiery warm mass above with cool rippling blue below at this level of contrast. The attraction is purely visual: the piece is bold, dramatic and hard to look away from.
