Garden Bells

Travel / Specialty / Projects · vertical

Seven tall, rounded-top posts stand in a row on thin black stakes in a sunny grassy garden. Each is painted differently: the nearest is deep blue with a white star and big green leaves, and the others show butterflies, ladybugs, peacock-feather eyes, yellow and green fruit, and birds. Trees and shrubs fill the background, and a small mallet lies on the ground at lower right.

A receding row of hand-painted garden posts, each wrapped in its own vivid scene of leaves, insects, fruit and peacock patterns, glows against the green lawn and dappled trees.
