Ember Lace, Red Layers Beside Green

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

Layered horizontal bands of rust red, brown and cream stack up on the left, covered in a fine cracked, net-like pattern. A thin vertical seam of deep blue and glowing orange divides the image. To the right, a smooth green and yellow area streaks sideways with small bubble-like dots. The overall effect is glassy, luminous and saturated.

A collector would want this piece for its contrast of two surfaces in one frame. On the left, glowing rust-red and brown layers are covered in a fine, lace-like cracked network. On the right, a calm, smooth green and golden field streaks sideways. A thin blue and orange seam divides the two, and the whole image looks lit from behind. Many warm abstracts are one uniform texture. This one reads as two distinct worlds, with a molten, luminous warmth that is attractive for its own sake.
