Ember Current - Red and Yellow Glass-Like Swirls

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A swirling abstract of glossy red, orange and yellow ribbons and loops, with a patch of teal-green at lower left and cream light glowing behind. The shapes look like translucent liquid or glass, with circular eddies and bright thin edges. The image sits inside a wide black mat, and a blurred, glowing version of the same colors forms the outer border. The effect is bold, warm and full of motion.

Someone wants this piece for its glow. Hot red, orange and golden-yellow ribbons curl through what looks like translucent liquid glass, with cream light behind them. A deep black mat makes those colors burn, and a blurred halo of the same colors surrounds the mat. A single cool teal-green patch at lower left sets off all the heat. It is a bold, warm, energetic abstract that gives a wall a luminous focal point, and the pull is purely visual. Plenty of red-and-yellow abstracts exist. Few combine glassy see-through depth, a built-in black mat, and one cool counterpoint.
