A tall tree trunk fills the frame, its bark rendered in swirling, painterly texture and dotted with round and oval holes. The largest hole glows deep orange inside, and patches of bright green moss cling to the surface. Thin bare twigs and a soft green forest blur out behind it.

A moss-dotted trunk with glowing orange cavities and swirling, painterly bark stands out against a soft green forest, giving a familiar woodland subject a vivid, almost hand-painted feel.
