Lantern Gold, Violet Cell Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A horizontal abstract of soft, flowing shapes in mustard gold, burnt orange, mauve and violet. A broad golden form sweeps diagonally up through the middle, while rounded, honeycomb-like cells with violet outlines fill the right side. The left side is a mottled blend of orange, purple and olive. The surfaces look smooth and liquid, crossed by fine veins, with a few small dark hollows that look a bit like eyes.

Someone wants this one for its glow. A broad golden-yellow form sweeps diagonally through soft mauve and violet cells, and the yellow and orange look lit from within. Many abstracts in gold or earth tones sit flat. This one has a clear bright diagonal, a busier warm side, and a cooler cellular side, so there is something to follow and something to settle into. The small dark hollows scattered among the shapes make people lean in and decide for themselves what they are looking at.
