Cream Constellation, Marbled Orange and Cobalt Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A horizontal abstract of flowing, marbled color in orange, cobalt blue, magenta and deep red, with a soft sage-green area at upper left. Glossy white shapes resembling antlers or stars sit across the upper half, and small dark green star shapes run along the left edge. Fine feathered swirls and small spirals give the surface a liquid, glassy look. A cream glow in the lower center sits between the blue and red masses.

Someone wants this piece for its heat and its surprise. Orange, cobalt, deep red and magenta flow together like molten marbling, and glossy white shapes float on top like light on a wet surface. A stranger stops on the contrast between saturated colour and the bright, calligraphic white forms. Whether those forms read as antlers or stars is left to the viewer. It suits a collector with a neutral room who wants one confident, warm, energetic wall.
