Ember Totem, Mirrored Swirl Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A horizontal abstract made of glossy, flowing swirls in burnt orange, rust red and amber, with a bright green channel running down the center. The left and right halves mirror each other exactly, so the shapes suggest a symmetrical mask or face, or a standing figure. Thin glowing contour lines trace the folds and give the surface a molten, translucent look. Olive and yellow-green tones fill the corners and lower edge.

A stranger wants this piece for its strong visual hit. A glowing green spine runs down the center of mirrored rust-red and orange folds, and the exact symmetry makes the swirls read like a luminous mask or totemic figure. Most orange abstracts are loose, one-sided swirls. This one has a deliberate central axis, a backlit green core and fine contour lines that make the surface look like molten glass. Pure visual attraction is reason enough to want it.
