Little Suns, Canada Goose Family on Rippled Water

Butterflies, Birds & Wildlife · panoramic horizontal

Two adult Canada geese swim across rippled blue-green water, one on the left and one toward the upper right. Four fluffy yellow goslings paddle close together near the left goose and in the middle of the frame. The water fills the whole wide frame with small waves and bright highlights, and the colors are saturated with strong contrast. The mix of bright yellow, warm brown and cool blue makes the birds stand out clearly.

A collector wants this for the warm yellow goslings glowing against cool, rippled blue-green water, with a Canada goose parent on each side of them. The wide format makes it read as a quiet family procession rather than a close-up portrait. The saturated color, strong contrast and slightly painterly finish make it feel more graphic and decorative than a typical bird photograph, while the subject stays instantly recognizable and tender.
