Crimson Axis - Symmetrical Blue and Gold Swirl Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A horizontal abstract image of swirling ribbons of cobalt blue, crimson and golden yellow, mirrored exactly across a narrow red line down the center. Pale yellow bands curve beside the center and branch into curling shapes, while blue and red lobes sit on either side. Fine, tightly packed swirling lines fill the edges and corners like marbled paper. The overall effect suggests a symmetrical butterfly or inkblot pattern, but the shapes stay fully abstract.

Someone wants this piece for its exact mirror symmetry down a glowing red center line. Glossy, stained-glass-like ribbons of cobalt, crimson and golden yellow swirl outward from that calm spine, and the whole figure reads as a butterfly, mask or inkblot without depicting anything. The busy, finely patterned edges against a still center give it a hypnotic pull that most abstracts with swirling color lack. Visual attraction alone is reason enough to own it.
