Ember Horizon, Palm Against a Storm-Blue Sunset

Travel / Specialty / Projects · horizontal

A palm tree with spreading green fronds stands in the center of a horizontal sunset scene. Behind it, a bright orange band glows along the horizon above a calm blue-gray sea. Dark blue and purple clouds stretch across a peach and amber sky. The whole image has a fine, swirled, paint-like texture.

A collector wants this piece for the drama of one scene: a glowing orange horizon under heavy slate-blue storm clouds, with a backlit palm crown in front. Many palm-and-sunset images are a plain silhouette against a pastel sky. Here the frond tips catch warm light while their centers stay cool green, the sky stacks in layered bands, and a fine swirled, paint-like texture runs through everything. The calm sea keeps the drama quiet, so it reads as a warm tropical evening and not a storm. Wanting it for color and atmosphere alone is reason enough.
