Ember Drift, Glowing Orange Glass on Deep Blue

Overlapping translucent shapes in glowing orange, red and amber fill the centre, set against deep blue at upper left and cool grey-green at the right. Fine bright lines trace the edges of the folds, and a few tiny bubbles sit on the surface. Parts of the image are sharp and others softly blurred, so it reads like molten colour seen through glass.

A glowing orange and red centre, outlined by thin bright lines, floats against deep cobalt blue. It looks like molten colour seen through glass. Someone wants this piece over ten other orange-and-blue abstracts because the warmth looks lit from behind, and tiny bubbles and crisp edge lines give the eye something real to find. A viewer who loves strong colour in a settled room gets a warm focal point that the blue keeps from feeling loud.
