Ember Mask, Mirrored Spiral Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A vividly colored, mirror-symmetrical abstract in which red, orange, yellow and green flow together in smooth, melted shapes. Spiral forms in the corners and a central arch can read as a stylized face or mask. Blue and black outlines trace wavy, scalloped edges through the middle.

Someone wants this piece because it stops the eye with glowing red, orange and yellow that melt into deep green, then rewards a second look: the mirrored halves turn fluid colour into a mask-like or face-like figure with spirals for eyes. Among the many red or colourful abstracts, few are this strictly symmetrical, and few hide a figure inside the flow of colour. It suits a buyer who wants one bold, warm focal point on a wall and likes finding something in it.
