Ember Heart - Red and Gold Marbled Heart on Black

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · square

A big heart sits in the middle of a black square, filled with red ribbons that fan out from a swirling center over a golden yellow marbled background. Three small hearts of the same pattern are stacked above its top dip. A thin pale line and a thin dark line frame the black panel, and a wide border of swirling red and yellow marbling surrounds everything. The look is bold, symmetrical and glowing against the black.

A collector wants this piece for its immediate, glowing impact. A single bold heart is filled with red ribbons that spiral out from a central vortex, over golden marbled yellow, and it sits on a solid black field. Plenty of heart art is flat, sweet or sentimental. This one reads as fiery and dimensional, and it has a clear focal point, a symmetrical structure and a border that repeats the heart's own marbled pattern. It is a heart that works as a graphic color statement as well as a love symbol.
