Angel in the Marble - Mirrored Amber Wings

A vertical, perfectly mirrored image in burnt orange, gold and deep brown shows two large wing-like shapes meeting at a dark central gap. Their surface is covered in tiny glittering ripples that look like light moving over water or hammered metal. Violet-blue shadows trace the outer edges of the forms, and the image is set within a dark, mottled brown border. Beneath it, small white text quotes Michelangelo: 'I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.'

A collector wants this because it combines two things rarely found together: a perfectly mirrored pair of glowing, wing-like forms in burnt orange, amber and copper, and a Michelangelo line about freeing the angel, printed beneath the image. The surface is a dense shimmer of tiny ripples that looks lit from within, so it works as pure ornamental color and light. The quotation adds a quiet, uplifting meaning for anyone who connects with it. Someone who wants warm, jewel-toned symmetrical art with a reflective message has few close alternatives.
