Copper Honeycomb Fold, Purple and Orange Abstract

Two large curving, folded forms meet at a dark crease. The right one is covered in a net of small honeycomb-like cells in copper and brown, and the left one has smooth horizontal bands of orange and brown. Vivid purple, blue and turquoise colour washes surround them at the edges.

A stranger stops on this because two different surfaces meet at one dark crease. On the left are smooth, striped bands of orange and brown. On the right is a net of small copper honeycomb cells, all of it washed in violet and turquoise. It is bold colour with a real structure to study, and it doesn't read as another purple-and-orange abstract. Someone with a settled room and a bare wall can picture the warm oranges against the deep purple at once, and liking it for the colour alone is reason enough.
