Bowl of Summer, Flower Garden and Mountain Sky

Botanical & Flowers · horizontal

A rounded garden bed bursts with yellow flowers in the middle, tall purple-blue spikes behind, and small lavender blossoms along the front edge. Green grass curves around the bed, and dark evergreen trees stand on both sides. Behind them, forested mountain ridges rise under a bright blue sky filled with big white clouds. The wide-angle view bends the horizon slightly, giving the scene a gentle bowl-like curve.

A collector wants this for the bowed, wide-angle view. A mounded bed of yellow and purple flowers is wrapped in a gentle curve, with mountain ridges and a huge cloud-filled blue sky behind. Most flower photographs are flat close-ups or straight garden views. This one puts the garden in a whole summer landscape, with a bright yellow center that pulls the eye in and an open sky that lets it rest. It suits someone who simply loves the color and the cheerful, sunny feeling of the scene.
