Emerald Wedge - Luminous Abstract Glass Close-Up

A close-up abstract of what looks like colored glass, filled edge to edge with angular and curved translucent planes. Rich greens and cobalt blues dominate the top, while orange, yellow and dusty rose warm the lower half. Light glows through the surfaces and flashes white along the edges. Small bubbles and flecks are visible in some areas, while others blur softly.

A collector wants this for its glow. It reads as overlapping translucent facets lit from within, in emerald, cobalt, burnt orange and golden yellow. One sharp green wedge cuts through the blue and orange fields. Most colorful abstracts blur into a single wash. Here the crisp edges, pooled dark greens and blues, and soft dissolving zones give the eye something to travel across. The saturated color and apparent translucence are reason enough to want it.
