Electric Tides, Turquoise Whirlpools and Molten Ripples

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A richly colored abstract made of swirling spiral forms and flowing ribbons of color. Glowing turquoise whirlpools with dark outlines sit across the top and at the lower right. A speckled blue band crosses the middle, and rippled streams of red, orange, yellow and green fill the lower half. The saturated colors and strong contrast give it a vivid, liquid, kaleidoscopic feel.

Someone with a bare, wide wall and a neutral room wants one piece that carries all the color. Here it is glowing turquoise whirlpools against molten red, orange and green ripples, with a grainy blue band between them. Plenty of swirly abstracts exist, but few set smooth glossy ribbons against a pebbly, speckled band, and few have spirals that look lit from behind. Pure visual attraction is reason enough. This one stops you, then rewards a longer look.
