Ribbon Petals - Swirled Yellow Orange Double Flower

Botanical & Flowers · square

A close view of a ruffled, double-petaled yellow and orange flower with a red-streaked orange heart. Its petals are covered in small spiral swirls, like thick curled paint. The flower sits against a dark background of muted brown, olive and mauve swirl-circles. A translucent inner frame and darker border surround it, so it looks like a framed picture.

Someone wants this piece because the flower is built entirely from tiny spiral swirls, so every ruffled petal reads like curled ribbon or rolled oil paint. The golden-yellow and orange bloom glows against a dark, bokeh-like ground of larger swirl discs. Most flower prints show a flower; this one makes the surface itself the attraction, with a warm, jewel-like glow. The built-in layered border adds a framed-picture-within-a-picture effect. Pure visual attraction is reason enough.
