The Red Drip That Glows Against a Pale, Quiet Ground
Ruby Drip is an abstract photograph of translucent red, blue, olive and violet shapes that look lit from behind.

Start at the right edge. A tall, glossy red form stands there and narrows to a dripping point at the bottom. It is crisp and bright, and light seems to pass straight through it.
Now follow the pale grey-white space toward the center. A soft purple circle floats there, blurred like a quiet moon between two sharp shapes. This is Ruby Drip.

What your eye finds when it stays a while
I'll let the image speak for itself. At first you see the colour: saturated red, cobalt blue, olive and lime green, and violet. Each shape glows from within, a bit like stained glass held up to a window.
Then the surface draws you in. The olive-green form at upper left has fine hairline creases and tiny droplets, and small white highlights run along its edges. The blue oval sits over green below it, and a purple form is cropped at the bottom left corner.
The focus does the rest. The red and green shapes are sharp, while the purple circle in the middle dissolves into a soft field of colour. Sharp and dreamy sit side by side, so your eye keeps moving between them.
Look closer along the edges and you'll find small notes of pink, teal, amber and lavender-blue. The shapes seem to drift, and the red drip gives everything a slight downward pull.
What you'll see in this piece
- Translucent shapes lit from behind: the colours glow like stained glass, so the piece feels bright even in a calm room.
- A tall glossy red form with a dripping tip: it gives the right side a strong, playful focal point.
- Olive green at upper left and red at right: the two crisp shapes balance each other across the frame.
- A soft, blurred purple circle in the open center: it gives the eye a place to rest between the sharp shapes.
- A smooth, liquid-looking surface with hairline creases and tiny droplets: it rewards a closer look.
- A pale grey-white ground: it keeps the saturated colours light and lets each shape stand out.
Where it fits
Ruby Drip is a horizontal image with open pale space in the middle. That suits a wall over a sofa, a bed, a console or a desk. The red and blue can be the main accent in a calm room, and the pale ground keeps the wall from feeling busy.
The mood is playful, bright and cheerful. It needs no explanation, and the colour and glow are reason enough to hang it.
- This is for you if you want one saturated, glowing accent that can carry a room.
- This is for you if you like glassy, liquid-looking surfaces and bright colour on a light ground.
- This is for you if sharp and soft-focus areas side by side appeal to you.
- This is for you if you want a horizontal abstract with a playful, modern feel.

Questions before you choose
Will so much saturated colour overpower my room?
The red, blue, green and violet are strong, but they sit on a pale grey-white ground with an open center. In a calm room it works as one bright accent rather than a busy wall.
What if it doesn't look right once it's on my wall?
