Filigree Wings, Ornate Golden Butterfly

Butterflies, Birds & Wildlife · horizontal

A butterfly with outstretched wings sits in the center of a horizontal image. Its wings are filled with fine dark blue swirling lines over gold, orange, green and blue color, and its body is orange with a patterned, heart-like abdomen. The antennae and tail tips curl into small spirals. Behind it is a pale, lace-like network of cell-shaped outlines in soft white, pink and lavender.

Someone wants this butterfly over ten others because of its density of detail. Fine dark navy swirls fill every wing over glowing gold, orange, green and blue, and the same line language runs through a pale, lace-like web behind it. It reads as a jewel-like ornamental piece, not a realistic insect portrait. The appeal is purely visual: rich color, intricate pattern and a cheerful, airy feel.
