Five Little Followers, Goslings on Blue Water

Most goose and duck photographs are close portraits of a single bird. This one shows a whole family on the move: five bright yellow goslings against deep blue, teal and grey water, trailing two partly cropped adults. The yellow is the first thing the eye finds, and the sparkling ripples and loose line of small bodies keep it looking. Someone wants this piece because it is cheerful, easy to read from across a room, and has a colour combination (yellow on blue) that is rare in wildlife work and easy to place on a wall.
