Lit From Within, Mirrored Jewel-Tone Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · vertical

A vertical abstract design is mirrored left to right and top to bottom. A large peach oval holds a glossy red lip-like shape at its center. Around it, swirling purple, blue, red and teal forms curl outward like petals, flames and wings. The surface looks smooth and glossy, with small glowing spirals and a deep blue and red border at the corners.

Someone wants this piece because it stops you before you know what you are looking at. A glowing peach oval sits in the middle of a strictly mirrored field of cobalt, red and purple. A glossy red shape at its center can read as a mouth, a mask or a butterfly, and each viewer decides. Plenty of symmetrical abstracts exist. Few combine a warm, lit-from-within center with deep blue and red corners and silky, marbled curves. It is ornamental and strong in colour, and it suits a viewer who is simply drawn to it.
