Ember Wings - Mirrored Red and Gold Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · vertical

A vertical abstract in fiery red, orange and golden yellow, built from swirling ribbon-like shapes mirrored left to right and top to bottom. Pale peach and yellow lobes glow at the top and bottom, while a yellow heart-like, lattice-patterned core runs down the middle. Dark crimson, flame- or wing-like swirls fill the left and right sides, and a thin dark border frames the whole design. The surface looks soft, mottled and translucent, with fine overlapping contour lines.

Someone wants this piece for its bold, glowing color and its strict mirror symmetry. Pale peach and yellow lobes look backlit against deep crimson, flame-like wings. A heart-and-lattice core runs down the middle. Among the many red and orange abstracts, few combine a vertical format, a true four-way mirror and a luminous, silky, marbled surface. Visual attraction alone is reason enough to want it.
