Ember Ribbons, Coral Swirl Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A horizontal abstract of swirling, ribbon-like curls and spirals in coral orange, rose pink and deep magenta. A glowing cream-yellow patch near the center brightens the surrounding warm tones. Visible brush-stroke texture covers the whole surface, with short angular dashes in the upper right and smoother looping lines elsewhere. Muted mauve and sage-grey passages on the left cool the otherwise fiery palette.

Someone would choose this piece for the glow at its center. A pale cream-yellow light sits in the middle of a coral, rose and magenta field, and outlined ribbon curls and scrolls drift around it. Plenty of warm abstracts exist. Few set smooth, looping lines against a patch of choppy, angular brushwork, as this one does in the upper right. It is bought for color, rhythm and warmth, and it needs no story to justify that.
