Coneflower in the Green Mist, Pink Floral Portrait

Botanical & Flowers · vertical

A single pink coneflower with a spiky orange center and drooping magenta petals sits slightly above the middle of a tall frame. Its thin green stem runs down toward the lower left. The background is a dark, blurred mix of greens with swirling, brush-like texture and a faint lighter glow behind the flower. A thin border edges the image.

A collector wants this piece for the way one saturated magenta coneflower with a glowing orange cone seems to float in a dark, misty, brush-textured green space. It is a quiet, intimate flower portrait with a strong colour punch, not a bright garden scene. Pink and green against a moody ground is the whole appeal, and that is reason enough to want it.
