A close-up of translucent colored glass shows a large red and amber rounded shape at the center, surrounded by yellow, green, turquoise and deep blue areas. Thin bright lines mark the edges between the shapes, and small bubbles are scattered across the surface. The colors look lit from within and blend softly into one another.

A large amber-red form glows at the centre of a square, against a deep blue field and bright yellow-green edges. It looks lit from within, and the colour is the whole reason to stop. Tiny bubbles hang inside the colour, so the eye reads it as glass before it understands what it is looking at. Plenty of colourful abstracts exist. This one has a clear focal point, a strong warm-against-cool contrast, and fine detail that rewards a longer look.
