Amber Mask, Symmetrical Swirl Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A horizontal abstract of glossy, swirling bands of orange, yellow, red and deep brown, mirrored left to right. At the centre the curves form a mask-like face with two eye-like shapes. Lime-green spirals sit to either side, and wavy blue-grey bands with pink and orange stripes run across the top corners.

Someone wants this piece over ten other orange abstracts because the colour resolves into a figure. Swirling bands of orange, amber, red and deep brown are mirrored left to right, and at the centre they form a mask-like face with two eye-like shapes. Lime-green spirals on either side and bright white highlight lines add a backlit, glass-like glow against the dark reds. It works as colour first, then holds a longer look as the face appears. Pure visual attraction is reason enough to want it.
