Ember Wings, Fiery Kaleidoscope Butterfly

Butterflies, Birds & Wildlife · horizontal

A large butterfly silhouette with spread wings and long antennae sits at the center of a dark maroon background. Its wings are filled with swirling, mirror-symmetrical patterns in glowing orange, gold and red, with olive green and purple near the body. The lines look like flames or molten glass and flow outward from the center. A thin darker border frames the whole image.

A collector wants this piece for the contrast between a clean, instantly readable butterfly silhouette and the blazing abstract world inside its wings. Orange and gold ribbons look like flame or molten glass against a deep maroon ground, with cooler olive green and violet near the body. Most butterfly art is natural or pastel. This one is dark, glowing and dramatic. Wanting it for its looks alone is reason enough.
