Amber Current - Blue and Gold Vertical Abstract

Vertical bands of saturated blue, gold, white, aqua and dark brown-black sit side by side. Their edges are jagged and feathered, with fine swirling ripples through the lighter areas. The surface looks glossy and fluid, almost like molten glass or liquid paint.

A stranger stops for the glowing amber-gold ribbon running between cobalt blue and pale aqua. The edges of the bands are serrated and feathered, as if each colour were being pulled sideways into the next. Most blue abstracts are soft washes or geometric blocks. This one has a strong vertical structure, a lit-from-behind white and cyan centre, and a warm gold line that gives the cool blues a focal point.
