Cobalt Ember, Glowing Blue and Amber Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

A vividly colored abstract in which a deep cobalt-blue area on the right meets a glowing band of amber, gold and rust-brown on the left. The warm area carries fine veins, a cracked net-like pattern and streaks like wood grain, with small bubbles in the upper left. Curved arches in blue, green and yellow sweep through the lower left, and bright white highlights run along the edges. The whole picture appears lit from within, like light shining through glass.

A collector wants this piece for its glow. A saturated, velvety cobalt blue meets a band of amber, gold and rust that looks lit from behind, like light passing through clear glass or resin. Up close the warm area holds fine veins, a cracked net-like pattern and tiny bubbles, so it keeps rewarding a second look. Pure visual attraction is reason enough: it is vivid, warm against cool, and clearly not a generic color wash.
